Refund Policy

International Journal of Scientific Discoveries strives to provide a transparent and fair publication process for all authors. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which authors may request a refund for any publication-related fees.

  1. Publication Fees
Authors are required to pay a publication fee upon acceptance of their manuscript for publication. This fee helps cover various services including peer review, editing, formatting, and online publication. The fee must be paid in full before the manuscript is published.

  2. Refund Eligibility
Refunds are considered under the following circumstances:

    • Manuscript Rejection: If a manuscript is rejected at any stage during the peer review process, authors are entitled to a full refund of any publication fees paid.
    • Manuscript Withdrawal: If an author requests to withdraw the manuscript before it enters the peer review process, a full refund will be issued.
    • Publication Delays: If the manuscript is not published within a reasonable timeframe due to issues that are the fault of the journal (e.g., editorial delay or review delays), authors may be eligible for a partial refund.
  3. Non-Refundable Fees
The following situations are not eligible for a refund:

    • Withdrawal After Acceptance: Once a manuscript has been accepted for publication and has passed the peer review process, no refunds will be issued, regardless of the reason for withdrawal.
    • Delays in Publication: Delays caused by factors beyond the journal’s control, such as reviewer availability, will not qualify for a refund. Authors should understand that publication schedules may vary.
    • Post-Publication Withdrawal: If an article is withdrawn after it has been published, no refund will be issued. Authors may be required to pay for any additional costs incurred.
  4. Refund Request Process
To request a refund, authors must submit a written request to the editorial office within 30 days of the event that qualifies for a refund (e.g., manuscript rejection, withdrawal, or publishing delay). The request should include the manuscript title, author details, and any relevant documentation supporting the request.

  5. Refund Processing Time
Once a refund request is approved, the process typically takes 30 business days to complete. Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original payment.

  6. Partial Refunds
In cases where services have already been rendered (e.g., peer review or editing), a partial refund may be issued. The amount refunded will depend on the stage at which the manuscript was withdrawn or rejected.

  7. Refund Limitations
Refunds are only applicable to the publication fees and not to any additional services such as special formatting, additional copies, or expedited services.

  8. Dispute Resolution
If there is a disagreement regarding a refund, authors can appeal to the editorial board. The board will review the situation and make a final determination. The decision made by the editorial board will be final.
