Withdrawal Policy
International Journal of Scientific Discoveries acknowledges that authors may occasionally need to withdraw their submitted manuscripts. This policy outlines the conditions under which authors can withdraw their manuscripts and the related procedures.
-
Withdrawal Request
Authors can request to withdraw their manuscript from consideration at any stage of the publication process, from submission to after acceptance. The corresponding author must submit a formal written request to withdraw the manuscript to the editorial office. -
Early Stage Withdrawal
Manuscripts may be withdrawn without penalty at any point before the peer review process begins. Upon receipt of a withdrawal request, the editorial office will confirm the manuscript withdrawal and notify the authors within 5 business days. -
Withdrawal After Peer Review
If the manuscript has already entered the peer review process, authors must still submit a formal written request to withdraw the manuscript. However, a reason for the withdrawal must be provided, and any publication fee that has already been paid may not be refunded. The editorial office will process the withdrawal promptly. -
Withdrawal After Acceptance
If an article is accepted for publication and the author requests withdrawal at this stage, it will be considered by the editorial team. Once accepted, manuscripts cannot be withdrawn without a valid reason. Authors should be aware that they will not receive a refund for any publication fees already paid. -
Implications of Withdrawal
If an article is withdrawn after it has been accepted or processed, the authors may be prohibited from submitting the same manuscript to International Journal of Scientific Discoveries again, unless substantial revisions are made. In such cases, the manuscript will be treated as a new submission. -
No Refund for Post-Acceptance Withdrawal
Manuscripts withdrawn after acceptance are not eligible for a refund of any publication fees paid, except in exceptional circumstances such as administrative errors by the journal. -
Publication and Withdrawal Timeline
After the withdrawal request is received, the manuscript will be officially withdrawn within 7-10 business days. The authors will receive a written confirmation of the withdrawal. -
Post-Publication Withdrawal
If a manuscript is withdrawn after it has been published, it will be retracted. The journal will issue a retraction notice that will be linked to the original article, and the retraction will be visible to readers. The reason for retraction will be made public if appropriate. -
Ethical Considerations for Withdrawal
Withdrawal of a manuscript should be done ethically and in good faith. If an author withdraws a manuscript due to a conflict of interest, ethical concerns, or any form of misconduct, the journal reserves the right to notify the relevant institutions or parties involved. -
Appeals Process
If an author’s withdrawal request is denied or the process is disputed, they can appeal the decision to the editorial board. The board will review the case and provide a final decision. The decision made by the editorial board will be final.
