Archiving Policy

The International Journal of Scientific Discoveries is committed to ensuring that all published content is preserved and remains accessible to the scientific community and the public. Our archiving policy outlines the procedures and practices for maintaining the long-term availability of published articles.

  1. Long-Term Digital Preservation
The journal utilizes trusted digital preservation services to ensure the long-term availability and accessibility of all published content. Articles are stored in secure, stable repositories that are regularly backed up to prevent loss of data. These archives adhere to established standards for digital preservation.

  2. Open Access Repositories
As an open-access journal, all published articles are freely accessible to the public. Authors are encouraged to deposit their published work in institutional repositories, personal websites, and other open-access platforms. The journal itself also maintains an accessible online archive where readers can access past issues and articles.

  3. Permanent DOI Assignment
All published articles are assigned a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure their discoverability and citation accuracy. The DOI links directly to the article's location in the digital archive, ensuring persistent access regardless of any changes to the journal’s website.

  4. Collaboration with Trusted Archiving Services
The journal collaborates with prominent archiving services such as Portico, CLOCKSS, and LOCKSS to ensure that published articles remain accessible even if the journal’s website or platform undergoes changes or is temporarily unavailable.

  5. Access to Older Issues
Issues of the journal, including back issues, will be preserved and accessible to readers through the journal’s online platform. Older articles will be maintained in the archive, and efforts will be made to ensure the content remains available as new issues are published.

  6. Compliance with Archiving Standards
The journal adheres to best practices for archiving scientific literature and complies with the relevant guidelines for open-access publishing. This includes guidelines set by organizations such as the Open Archives Initiative (OAI) and the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ).

  7. Data Availability and Transparency
In line with our commitment to transparency, authors are encouraged to share supplementary data and research materials with their articles. These will be archived alongside the article and made available for public access, in accordance with data-sharing policies.

  8. Retention Period
All articles published in the International Journal of Scientific Discoveries will be retained indefinitely in digital archives to ensure permanent availability. The retention period for the journal’s content will be maintained in compliance with open-access guidelines and scientific community standards.

  9. Versioning and Updates
Any corrections, retractions, or updates to published articles will be clearly marked and archived with the original publication. Authors will be notified of any changes to their articles, and revised versions will be made available in the same permanent archive.

  10. Withdrawal Policy
Articles may only be removed or retracted from the archive in cases of proven misconduct, ethical violations, or legal issues. Such retractions will be accompanied by a clear statement explaining the reason for removal. No article will be removed without a valid and documented reason.
